The Stamford Notebook™
Our notebooks are delightfully functional, beautifully designed and expertly crafted by hand in Stamford. We use our superb British milled paper and combine that with an enviable selection of sizes, cover materials and page styles. From our signature woven cloths, to exotic coated papers and luxury leather covers, we have an unrivalled choice! Why not take a look at our Elements of Nature range, with its 100% recycled British made paper, or our luxury Aurum Collection. Made with gilded edges, lay flat binding and finished with gold corners, it is a joy to own!
Our Sizes
Quarto Medium Notebook – 13.7cm wide x 21.5cm high (just smaller than A5) with 140 pages.
Crown Quarto Notebook – 17.2cm wide x 23.9cm high (a little smaller than A4) with 160 pages.
Folio Large Notebook – 19.3cm wide x 30.1cm high (near A4) with 160 pages.
The Rutland Notebook – 9.2cm wide x 14.4cm high with 160 pages
Our Refillable Leather Journals
Our refillable journals include our signature Traveller’s Journal, The Burghley Journal and Burghley Organiser and our NEW Aurum Cahier Cover. These are hand cut, dyed, sewn and finished by us in Stamford. We use a vegetable tanned shoulder which gives a beautiful finish yet remaining sturdy and practical. All journals are supplied with a choice of insert book, including ruled, plain, sketch, squares and dot grid. Our Traveller’s Journal is supplied complete with a handmade calico bag with leather drawstring (made by us) whilst the Burghley and Cahier Cover is supplied in a beautiful black gift box with gold embossing (also made by us!)

Our diaries are supremely functional! The layout includes a monthly planner grid, UK Public & Bank Holidays plus the daylight saving hour changes - no fluff! We use our usual exceptionally high quality British milled, off-white, smooth paper throughout. Available in a remarkable selection of cover and page styles as well as sizes, each one is handmade to order. Our Colours
We are very lucky, as printers and bookbinders, to be able to work with a variety of bookbinding cloths, papers and leathers. As the manufacturers of all of our notebooks and journals, we are able offer the widest range of colours and textures. From bright, colourful Woven Cloth, hardwearing Library Buckram, tactile embossed and shimmering papers, to our exciting ranges of leathers.
Whichever of the over 70 Colours and style you order, your Stamford Notebook will include an elastic closure (depending on the style) and a ribbon page marker. Stamford is discretely embossed on the back of every notebook using original letterpress type. Each one comes packaged in a recyclable card sleeve and tray to make the perfect gift.
