Wolf & Badger started in 2010 as a small boutique in London's Notting Hill, showcasing emerging and sustainable brands to a local community of design lovers. Following its success and recognising the demand was growing for ethically produced products, brothers Henry and George took the shop online as a way to further develop their innovative approach to fair retail and in response to demand for the concept from an increasingly international audience.

Wolf & Badger are a B Corp-certified home to more than 2,000 independent brands from around the world, with storefronts in London, NYC and LA. The brand community is diverse, and they currently stock brands from over 70 countries, with the top 5 countries based in the UK, USA, Turkey, Australia and Romania.

Their business model was formulated to work harmoniously with the environment and local communities, rather than exploiting them. It is really important to them to clearly communicate their message with their customers, so they can make an informed choice. They have introduced a vast number of guarantees to celebrate how their partner brands consider the environment including the people involved in the process along the way. A few of these include:

	‘Happy Worker’ which ensures that workers are paid at least minimum wage and the brand is transparent in disclosing all of their suppliers
	‘Independent Brand’ which is where all brands are independently owned by the designer themselves
	‘Skilled Artisan’, meaning that the collection is entirely made in the designers studio or by an artisan collective who seen to preserve traditional handicraft techniques, all of which apply to our brand.

Our stationery, which is entirely produced in our bindery in Stamford, England, aligns perfectly with their ethos. We have a small but talented team of craftspeople who make everything to order. We also produce all our own packaging and minimise any waste where possible. We are constantly striving to improve our product offering, working with more sustainable materials.
